About Us
Total Badminton Academy is established by former Malaysian double champion and ex thomas cupper, Kwek Chiew Peng in February 2009. We are currently based in Port Dickson, Malaysia and we hold our weekly training sessions in the Wawasan Badminton Gymnasium.
The Academy is formed with intentions of helping young players to develop their skills and also improve in the game of badminton. Kids have the biggest potential to develop their skills in the game, especially during their young age and we are determined to guide them and nurture them into future champions. Our aim is to provide the knowledge and tools alongside with a suitable environment to ensure that every badminton player has the best advantages to reach their maximum potential.
Our players will benefit from the coach’s experiences who was a former Malaysian Number 1 Doubles Player and also part of the 1976 Malaysian Thomas Cup squad who won the silver medal in Bangkok. Our coach, Kwek Chiew Peng, definitely has the professional knowledge, skills, and the perfect mindset to conduct trainings and camps. Our coach feels that after gaining much success as player himself, he is ready to share his knowledge and working towards his goal to produce top class players.
We are, at the moment, a small scale badminton academy with one on-going training session on Thursday evenings. However, our mission is to grow as we go, to get more people into the game. We believe through badminton, through sports, we can unite as a nation and also sustain a healthy lifestyle.
